The role of the Arts
Arts in general have played a major role in the society, in forming people’s minds. It’s a way to alleviate, to find answers or raise questions, to reinforce values, to get inspiration and hope. Art has the power to move people, shake up ideas, change and re-locate. An artist is a person who is in constant motion, search, who investigates his role in relation to its presence as well as the references to the past. Arts can touch emotions, it can touch on a person's own experiences in a different way, which makes people perhaps more aware of the problems/issues that a society is facing in a deeper or different way than politics can.

In
times of a great instability, Arts and culture
can transform the perspective of thinking. Nevertheless, Arts require an
open and critical society. Many countries still experience a big oppression and
censorship. This is when Art has the possibility to become an open platform
upon certain social-political issues that a society is facing and overcome
censorship. Art can bring people together, even if they don’t speak the same
language or have the same ethics. The necessity of belonging, the social
inclusion, the excitement of creativity, the ephemeral of life, the unknown, are the strong bond that connect all different nations,
identities and cultures.
